Update on Remote Monitoring Coverage for 2026

CopilotIQ is committed to helping you stay informed and prepared.

💡 What's Changing with UHC for 2026

UnitedHealthcare previously communicated that it planned to change coverage for Remote Patient Monitoring (RPM) services beginning January 1, 2026. UnitedHealthcare has since announced that these coverage changes have been delayed and will instead be implemented later in 2026.

Before the policy takes effect, UnitedHealthcare has stated that it will provide advance notification with updated details and a new effective date.

Remote Patient Monitoring means our care team keeps track of health information such as your blood sugar and blood pressure from your home using connected devices.

If you are actively enrolled in our RPM program and are on a UnitedHealthcare health plan (including UnitedHealthcare Medicare Advantage, Community Plans, or commercial plans), your RPM services remain covered for now under your current plan.

It’s important to note that this announcement represents a delay, not a full reversal, and changes to RPM coverage are still expected later in 2026.

Coverage Update:

Coverage changes for most RPM services under UnitedHealthcare plans have been delayed and are expected to take effect later in 2026.

❤️ What This Means for You & Your Care

At this time, no immediate action is required. Your RPM monitoring, device supply, and clinical support services may continue under your current UnitedHealthcare plan.

However, because UnitedHealthcare has indicated that RPM coverage changes are still planned for later in 2026, we want to ensure you are aware of what may be coming and understand your options ahead of time.

This means:

  • You may receive updated notices from UnitedHealthcare and/or from us as new information becomes available.
  • If you enroll in a plan that covers RPM through us (listed below), your services may continue as a covered benefit if coverage rules change in the future.

📅 Timeline & Next Steps

If you’re a UnitedHealthcare member, this delay provides additional time to review your plan benefits and stay informed about how future coverage changes could affect your care.
